Annastiina Hintsa

Annastiina Hintsa has closely observed during her career – and also personally experienced – the challenges relating to sustainable performance in an uncertain, high pressure, fast paced global context. Working in top management consulting and experiencing burnout, Annastiina was faced with profound questions of balance and meaning. She found answers in a transformation that involved running 250km (155 mile) ultra-races in deserts. Years later she would join Hintsa Performance as an entrepreneur, helping people unlock a life of meaning and sustainable high performance. Annastiina Hintsa has worked with a clientele ranging from Formula 1 drivers to female entrepreneurs in rural Guatemala, top CEOs, and leading politicians. She speaks and facilitates workshops around the world, including hosting the Hintsa Performance session in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos 2018. She is particularly interested in what it will take for companies and individuals to thrive in the fourth industrial revolution, the role of women and millenials in shaping the future of work, and the business case for wellbeing. Prior to joining Hintsa Performance full time in 2016, Annastiina worked in management consulting and economic development. As an Engagement Manager for McKinsey& Company 2011-15, she focused on strategy, organisational transformations, and public & social sector. Annastiina also spent three years in Latin America and Africa working with female micro-entrepreneurs. Annastiina Hintsa holds two Masters degrees in Economics and International Management, and she is a PhD student in the Aalto University Department of Economics. In her free time Annastiina enjoys the outdoors. She likes challenging herself and was the first Finnish person to complete 4Deserts 1,000km ultra-running series. Her back-up career plan is to retire to a tropical island and make use of her qualifications as a Dive Master and yoga teacher. She also secretly dreams of one day picking up her violin again. Annastiina is able to give her keynote speech in the following languages: Finnish (native) English (fluent) Spanish (fluent) French (conversational) Swedish (conversational) German (basic)
