Pontus Wadström

Pontus Wadström works as an independent strategy advisor, lecturer and researcher. He has previously worked as strategy consultant and as head of various strategy, business development and change departments, portfolios and projects in publicly listed companies and in start-ups.  His expertise is how organizations strategize – do strategy for real and in practice – and the impact this has on their ability to adjust, to change and, in the long run, to become more successful, regardless of how success is defined. Over the years Pontus Wadström has worked with publicly listed multinationals, privately held companies, start-ups, municipalities, governmental bodies, unions and NGOs; he has clients in manufacturing, real estate, engineering and construction, telecom, finance, professional services, IT, logistics, education, health and social work. Alongside his practice he is an affiliate researcher at the Department of Industrial Economics and Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. This is also where he earned his PhD. He also holds an MBA, a BSc in International Management and a BSc in Behavioural Science from Linkoping University. Pontus’ ability to draw on extensive practical experience as well as deep theoretical knowledge from domains that typically may not be associated with each other enables him to provide unique viewpoints on how organizations become successful in changing times.
