Jana Söderberg

Her background as an economist, psychotherapist, coach and athlete in Germany, USA and Sweden has given Jana Söderberg an unique knowledge about the human capacity for self-motivation and self-leadership.

Jana is passionate about how to strengthen our mental health, as well as how to increase the ability for self-motivation. In addition, she has a great passion for the interaction between people, meetings, conversations and communication.
As a lecturer, author and coach, Jana focuses on neuro leadership and neuro communication as well as personal sustainability. Neuroleadership is the art of leading and motivating oneself, neuro communication is the art of creating a functioning dialogue and effective interaction with others. Both are based on the conditions and basic mechanisms of the brain. Jana’s lectures and courses can be adapted for different target groups. Frequently recurring clients are found in businesses, sports, municipalities, and schools. Jana Söderberg has written books such as “Stop comparing yourself to others – dare to be yourself”, “Dare to be – show children the way to better self-esteem” and “What I say and what you hear – about the art of meeting”

Communication, motivation and neuro leadership

For elite athletes, mental training and motivational training are obvious parts of the training program. The ability to mentally handle a critical competition, an injury or other adversities is necessary for a long sports career. Much of that of an athlete’s mental training is also relevant for leaders in organization and business. As a leader, you need mental strength and stability, the ability to see and capture opportunities in changing times, as well as the ability to build commitment and focus under high pressure.

Today, only around 16 percent of Sweden’s employees are motivated by their work according to a survey from Sifo. Leaders who develop the ability of better motivation and commitment in their organizations make the business survive.

With the help of neuro-leadership, the knowledge of our brain´s basic mechanisms and how these mechanisms can be altered, a leader has enormous possibilities to increase motivation, job satisfaction and responsibility in the organization.
